I miss the NYC subway wallpaper that was used throughout the dining area of their restaurants from 1980 to 2002.

Even the Subway website used the NYC subway motif back when they started in 1996:

Not quite sure how they figured these out anyway.

Our local one (for instance) opens at 8am, 9am on Sunday.  Seems a bit late for the weekdays (since a good amount of people in this area commute to a city about 20 miles away, so many are on the road before 8am) and even for the weekends (we've had people who would grab something for a trip, but we usually leave by 8 on a Saturday so it's a bit too late for that.

Others in surrounding areas open at 7, which would make more sense.  Hopefully they aren't just judging on existing traffic and not knowing what they might get by being open an hour or so earlier...
