As usual, love your pictures of the country's many Toys "R" Us stores. I'm just curious as to why you never exit your car to get these shots. Anyway, keep them coming!

well some of the other pictures on the boards like kmart has people in their car with te pictures. some of these pictures, I did not notice a side of the building as I was leaving. I did go in all those Toys r us' I photographed and they were big and small and not very many people were in them because for most of them I went in whne the kids where at school or when the shopping was pettering out.

I HAVE MORE TOYS R US PICTURES, but I took them with cameras that proceded my digital and I will have to digitize those pictures to post them (pictures of those TOys r us'). The inside of the one in elmira was yellow adn there was a section with big Kids r us letters. the one in williamsport was small probably like 25,000 to 30,000 sf. I went to these stores on my spring break vacation on a road trip.

Here's a picture I took today of Toys "R" Us on Backus Avenue in Danbury. I remember visiting this store no more than two or three years ago when it had the brown and rainbow colored facade and mentioning to myself how frighteningly old it looked. I cannot find out when it received a renovation but I'm guessing 2004. If you look close enough, you can see it still resembles the old store sans the facade removal and grid-glass windows. This was the last of the retro TRU buildings in the state.

Picture wasn't that good because I wasn't feeling daring enough to avoid onlooking people.
