more toys r us in douglastown and it is about 47,950 square feet and remodeled in the 1990s and opened like 1985.

if u look at the refectiomn on the window of caldor u can se eteh Newington toys r us i dont think this location willclsoe because when i was there it was packed with people some were looking at me crazy when i was takeing pics of the caldor also this toys r us is kida the only toy store around

Here's a shot of the Toys "R" Us inside the Holyoke Mall in Massachusetts. It's sporting the '90s style... but not for too much longer. It will soon be converted into a Babies "R" Us.

Mall security almost busted me for taking this which is why I have no interior shots (yet). The opening to the store looks really old-looking... my guess is they built this when the mall opened in the 80s.

Can anyone confirm which locations are still 1980s brown/rainbow colored buildings? The last one I knew of around me (I live in Connecticut) was in Danbury and they renovated it a little under a year ago I think. I'm one of those lucky states whose stores are not closing!

Also, if anyone has any historical pictures of the one in Corbin's Corner/West Hartford, I'd like to see them seeing as I practically grew up at that store.

Another thing... does anyone have interior shots of any of the older stores (pre-renovation)?

from teh looks of it that toys r us probley opend in 1992 i dont think it opend in te 80s it might have been added on latter and ive been to the toys r us in danbury before idk when that stor eopend im gonna guss around the time the mall opend or after so i would say the danbury location opend in 1988 1989 i think it had the rainbow panted stripes on it it kida reminded me of this gum i use t liek wheni was little fruit strped gum idk if they mak eit any more but any way there also use to be a kids r us locaed next to ui withc is now a babies r us hears a old pic of the danbury location probley takeind sin teh late 90s

they opened this 36,000 square foot store in fall 1995 and it was part of the mall's expansion area. they need this store in the mall as no toy store except target will be left. mall security almost busted me when I photographed this mall a few years back. mall security is tight around this mall. so they sohuld keep this toys r us, but there is no toys r us arouind springfield. the store has a weird exit area.
