Theres 3 classes with Toys R Us. It goes by how much the store makes a year (volume) and how big the store is. Example, Manchester, CT is a class A and so is Danbury because their bigger stores and are the two busiest in CT. West Hartford is a Class B, while Newington was a Class C before. Newington being the smallest  store size and volume compare to Manchester or West Hartford.  If your a class A, your going to get the royal treatment from the company. You be on their list to get more merchandise, all the latest posters and first to get any type of store designs.  I give u an example, this was back in 2004 when i worked their.

In one day, Manchester could mak sales of 32,000, while West Hartford did like 15,000 and Newington did like 10,000.

What time of the year would these stores be doing that Dollar amount of Sales??

The Toys R Us/Kids R US in Buford, GA just moved their store.

Here's the old located which wasn't there that many years-

Here's the road sign for the new location. Its now in a brand new shopping center about 2 miles up the road from the old location. Its now next to a new Babies R US. Both TRU and BRU have the new logo.

So..I visited Jacksonville for my bday and found out that the one TRU there is closing and moving about 12 miles away to a new store. So I went there and took some pics of the closing sale. I went to that TRU ever since I was a little kid. It's been there for atleast 20 yrs, and is a former brown roof, rainbow store and remember well when it was. anyways on to the pics-

Good pictures. It seems the company is really moving forward by closing up many of its 80's stores for relocated hybrid superstores. Nothing newsworthy there, though.

The Toys "R" Us stores in the Midwest go by the name Geoffrey's Toys "R" Us.

I don't like the tan paint scheme too bland and washed out, I like the blue better. :(

DISCUSS Did they close there doors there all becoming Office Max like in Nashua or in Manchester its a car dealership:no:

Ameskid

I know some merged with Toys 'R' Us, and especially on the older "rainbow facade" stores, "Kids 'R' Us" still has a small light-up sign in the lower right corner.

That West Mifflin picture contains my childhood. That is what every Toys R Us should look like. So nostalgic

It looks like the original shaped sign is there.  I have gone by that TRU many times, and never noticed it from the rear.  Am I correct in think that this is taken from the drive around Century III Mall, or the mall parking lot?

While you're talking about being nostalgic, this photo is taken from the now TRU Parking lot in 78.  It's not TRU, but if you look in the background, you can see Children's Palace.  This photo was part of a press kit released in October 1978, one year before Century III Mall opened in  October 1979.
