2 Connecitcut Daily Papers to be Shuttered

Due to the poor economy and falling advertising revenue - JRC is shuttering The Bristol Press and The New Britain Herald in January. The company wishes they could find a buyer for the papers, but they're not holding out much hope.

I've been slipping lately. A former Newsday Employee with years and years of newspaper experience dating back to when he was a little boy and put out a newspaper for his neighborhood has stepped up to buy The Bristol Press and New Britain Herald. He's expected to take over the papers from JRC on Tuesday.
