I heard on Facebook that Bed Bath Beyond is looking to sell The Christmas Shop and if they can't find a buyer they will close.

If they do close husbands everyone will cheer hurray!  ::)

Really?  They appear to be thriving.  They keep opening new stores with locations now in Alabama, Florida, Virginia and beyond!

Why are some Christmas Tree Shops now called "Christmas Tree Shops and That!"?  The "and That!" sounds silly and I can't figure out what it means.

They opened another "andThat!" store in Flint, MI last month:

It's all about expanding the CTS concept in parts of the country not familiar with the fact that the store sells more than just Christmas ornaments and is open year-round.

O.K. I don't get it why they call it "Christmas Tree Shops" when they're open all year around and sells more than Christmas stuff!? ???

If I remember correctly, the original one in MA started out as a shop selling Christmas themed stuff all year round (it was near the bridges that enter/exit Cape Cod, so they got tourists as well as locals at different times).  Over time, they expanded to more types of items but kept the name.

The company was sold by Bed, Bath, and Beyond to a Jewish couple. They plan on rebranding all their stores to CTS eventually. New stores will get the CTS rebrand as well. They also closed their store at the Holyoke Mall in Massachusetts and moved across the street.
