this was a hospital in long island that has been clsoed since 1996 i thought idd add this section i say its worth going to see sometime

I have a real thing for vacant buildings that were once something special and there are several interesting websites about the history of this hospital.  It was built in the late 1800's and used to house both employees and patients alike until the state began to take it over at the same time that it became illegal to lobotomize and subdue patients.  As areas of the grounds were closed off the final area to close was the main hospital.  Parts of the ground have been taken over by the state for parks and the remaining buildings sit vacant while no one knows what to do with it.  Only time will tell..

this is the school house/Recreation building that was added in 1970 it had a theater gym pool and a blowing alley in it

lol alot of these pics i found online as u can see at the bittoom of this pic it is fromt hat sight and its worth cheacking out i puc some of my aldor and bradlees pics up on there but anyways  i do plan to go viste the sight sometime and idk some of the Garffite is funny look at this pic

Building 7 was 13 stories tall and is where the current Police transmitters are kept as whitch is what the big box on the top of the bulding is it also stores 2 water tanks in there and it also still has power

so yea heres a realluy good sight that had alot of updatedpictures of this place and verey sad to see how trashed it has gotten but idk latley ive been getting into exploring these kinda places rather then trying to find old caldor and bradlees locations and such not that i wont hope t find one again heh but yea
these places are just easyer to get inside of
