shoppers world opened in 1951 in framingham mass on rt. 9 and the first mall east of the missisippi. the mall had a jordan marsh shaped with a dome and Stop and shop that closed in 1978 and quickly become old school toys r us. the mall got really old. When I saw it first in 1995, the shoppers world sign was still there (I did not photograph it because it I did not start takng pictures of stores until 1996). the mall was demolished after jordan marsh mvoed to the natick mall and the shoppers world became an outside mall with a toys r us, barnes and noble, nobody beats the wiz (opened 1996, closed 1997, became best buy 1998), kids r us (closed 2004, became office depot), babies r us that opened 02 or 03, ac moore, barnes and noble, tgi friday, sports authority, bob's stores and many others.
