The merger was approved at the end of September. The change over from Farmington Bank to People's United Bank is expected to be complete by January 2019.

The People's United Bank branch at 812 Queen Street Southington will close at 1PM January 26, 2019. The Farmington Bank branch at 1 Center Street Southington will become People's United Bank.
