Adam 12 Actor dead at 83

Martin Milner (Officer Pete Malloy) from Adam 12 has died. He was 83.

Also co-star of Route 66.  Which was before my time (and probably yours).
But was still a rather good show.

Each episode was shot on location in a different part of the country (plus one in Canada).
For the episode shot in Pittsburgh the guest star was Lee Marvin.  There is a scene where
Marvin and Milner get into a fistfight.  I guess the action got a bit too real as Milner actually
hit Marvin, breaking his nose.  In later years Lee Marvin would thank Milner for "making me
look tougher" which allowed him to land all those roles in military action films.

One of the shooting locations was the Pittsburgh Hilton, where my uncle used to work.
His buddy there has 8mm. home movie footage of Martin Milner actually breaking Lee
Marvin's nose.  It was very cool!
