Taking down some info.............how did most of you find our message board?  Friend, Google search? Advertizezzzed somewhere? How?

I'm a veteran here, Chris found my website in september 2003 and e-mailed me about the Amesfanclub !!  I couldn't believe that there was such a site. :yup:

Well, I kinda knew abiut this from the link on deadmalls.com, but I guess I thought it was JUST about ames, so I never looked too much into it/ But the other day on gamefaqs.com, some guy was talkin about caldor and other old stores and I mentioned deadmalls.com, which he new of and linked to this board sayin it talks about all the past retail stores, and thus im here!

Ive seen many stores come and go

IGA/Kmart Is Forever!

I found this website on the Ames Department Store Wikipedia Page @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ames_(store) which contained a link to the Ames Fan Club. I was on Wikipedia looking up the history of my favorite businesses and retail stores of the past.
