That's right-Target is closing 11 stores nationwide on February 1, 2015.

In Michigan, stores that will close include Northland Center in Southland, the Mall of Monroe in Frenchtown Township and the Bay City Mall in Bay City (which will also loose one of it's other anchors, Sears). This round will leave both Northland and the MoM with one anchor (Macy's and Carson's respectively).

This is pretty surprising, considering that this is during a time when both Kmart and Sears are both closing stores left and right nationwide for similar reasons.

Sounds kind of like a standard reevaluation and getting rid of a few stores that probably don't do as well as others?

Since they have 1,800 in the US this is a pretty small percentage - doesn't seem like they are in any major problem or they would have more closing, at least it seems?

Hey could be really old outdated stores that have been around for a long time and could be smaller locations as well. It's only 11 stores out of close to 2,000 stores.
