This was a new liquor type section of the later Phase 4, or Mansard, restaurants. It was actually started in the late 60's, by Howard B. Johnson. Many locations exsited, with the majority of them, in Massachusetts.

Are any of the Rum Keg lounges still open now that Springfield has closed?

Springfield never had a Rum Keg Lounge inside. But, a lot of Massachusetts locations that are now Bickford's, still have the Rum Keg Lounge sign still on the building.

Is the name RUm Keg the actual name that HoJo's used when they were open?  And are they still called Rum Keg or is it that the name is just still on the building?  Would be cool of someone could post a pic of one of the round Rum Keg logo's.....(if they have it.)

I found one of the Rum Keg Lounge logo's.  It was often placed between the restaurant and the lodge at many locations built in the 60's and 70's.
