Any one else on here other than me?

When Ames in Dudley closed a friend and I rummaged thru one after the final fixture sale.  Found a ton of Ames artifacts as well as two complete boxes of Ames register receipt tape, a lot of which is listed here:

Sorry, no dumpster diving for me (due to health reasons), but I sure wish that I had kept bags, etc. from other stores that I frequented throughout the years.

At least, sites like this one keep it all alive!

The only time I ever dumpster dove was back in id say 2001 when there used to be a flea market every sunday during the summer in the parkin lot of the roosevelt mall.
I snagged a few genesis games and a controller.

I was upset that it would be the final year of the flea market :(

I dumpster dove on numerous occasions:

At Kmart I snagged a few out-of-date calendars, a Returns & Exchanges sign, a bunch of infant display items, and some greeting cards (on different occasions).

At a softball field I got a Kmart shopping basket.

At A BP station, when they converted from Wild Beans Cafe to AM/PM, I obtained a Wild Beans Cafe sign and some price stickers.

Finally, at a recycling station at my school, I received on numerous occasions National Geographics from the '70s and '80s. (I was a member of recycling club and disposed of paper waste there; I pulled ads out of the National Geographics.)

Those are some nice finds, candles are exspensive you should try and get one of those tart warmers for the wax. Cut off pieces and toss into the warming bowl, it releases the fragrance for a day or two then discard. I've tried burning candles after removing the glass and found the wax not only drips but can cause the wick to get out of control which could cause a fire if not watched closely.
There is a lot in store for you where clean, fresh and good make a GRAND UNION.

Back when I still lived in Rhode Island we used to pseudo-dumpster dive behind the old Ames because there was a Goodwill drop-off so we would go there to get furniture or snag a bag of clothes to go through and then bring back... we would get brand new clothes with the tags still on them from expensive stores... hey I was poor but it worked :)
