I\'m Back

Hello Ames Forum members, I'm back! I'd like to tell you why I haven't been around. Last February (Feb. 1 to be exact) I had a nervous break down and came close to having a heart attack. According to doctors, they said I actually had a very minor one. It was caused by stress and anxiody from my severe depression and panic attacks. I came back home later on in February but was very powerless and depressed. I didn't go back to work until the middle of March. I've been doing alot better now and I hope I can get back into the routine of posting here. Thank d_fife for contacting me. To any members who have joined since I "disappeared", hello and welcome. :)

I went through something similar last year. The root cause was related to another Health Issue, but I can associate with many of your symptoms. To me it felt like I had thrown away a Good 6 months of my life. Glad you are doing better, and look forward to your many posts!!

Thanks! I felt like I was wasting days too especially after I got home and couldn't do anything. I was so down and confused that I almost got into a car accedent when I was attempting drive for the first time after the attack.

Great to know you're doing better. Lately, I have felt almost the same.

Let me tell you, I'm only 17, but am so down with everything. Since 2002, I had panic attacks (when I was 13). During the summer of 2003, almost every night I had these small attacks, and would gasp for breath, and finally settle down and stay up till almost 3AM some nights watching sitcoms. I also didn't want to eat. I lost 23 pounds that summer. I then told myself I wouldn't do this to myself. I would take things one day at a time. It's been on and off lately, but I am still not too bad.

So, take it easy, and stop by the Ames boards. It always works for me!!

Huh, very strange...I was curious so I did a quick search based on his email address...this came up as a website belonging to him:

But here's the odd bit...in the "about me," it says he is just a teenager, not 37 as his profile on here states. :huh:
