Anonymous posting... again

As of this morning, anonymous posting has been disabled, again.  I hoped it would make it easier for people to leave legitimate information here without a hassle of registration, and for the most part it did.  Unfortunately it has become apparent some people can't handle this option, as a poster has taken it upon himself to berate other *registered* members.  I guess some can't help coming in here and starting trouble.

You know who you are, and I don't care if you have been 'lurking' this board for years.  Your welcome to continue reading whatever you want, but if you don't have anything above personal attacks to contribute, please don't post.  Everyone here has always respected each other, people of all different ages and education levels.  It's funny how the only insults and attacks we've had here in years has come from anonymous posters and day old accounts.

I'd like to thank my admins and members for handling it the way they did, cheers.

......ANOTHER NOTE : If you have 2, 3 , 4 Accounts Or .....know someone on here TELL ME. I am deleting "one day" and "4 posts from 2 years ago" accounts. That leaves our board with less member stats...but REAL stats. :hurt:

Thanks to all of you who do such a great job keeping the site up and running.  

My family thinks I'm crazy for liking to read about this stuff, but I remember far too many stores that are gone forever and it is interesting to see so many younger people care about it like I do.

Haha I know what you mean.  Way back in this sites infancy, in 2003, I had started it as more of a joke.  I used Ames as a constant theme to try implementing new things as I had an interest in web design.  Lo and behold, after a few months I was getting emails almost everyday and we had a pretty active message board, I had no idea so many people were interested in the same thing!  I was getting so much traffic I even had to move it from being hosted from a home server to real web hosting!

Its ok my family thinks I'm crazy for liking this stuff too. When I tell them I went somewhere to take pics of a store they thinks thats stupid.

I get the funny looks when we pass an old store, or closed off store and I whip out my cell-camera and start taking pics...yelling SLOW DOWN when we get close lol and my hubby-doo took the picture of my finger pointing at an Ollie's sign while holding a McCrory's basket. So he partakes in the adventure as well lol
