i was just wondering if anyone on here has a facebook i remember there was a thred like this few years back only with my space my how things change over the years heres mine

Facebook is NOT private. Potential employers may want to see your page. I don't want anything about me out there!

You can block anything. Right now, no one can see mine except core info and my pics (and I have pics hidden as well)

They will judge by your pics and general info. Besides, they will look at that without your permission. As for everything else, they may insist if they want to hire you.

Facebook is pretty private. If you do a search on someone, you can't actually see their full page without being approved as a friend...so, don't add people if you don't want them to see your info.

..........and I have never had a employed by someone who tried to get a friend add from me either :goodidea:

Never been a fan of the social networking trends. Just like how no one foresaw the decline of Myspace, but inevitably it was to be replaced with something new. Who knows how long Facebook will last, maybe Friendster will be the next big thing. ... I still can't believe anything as stupid as Twitter ever caught on.

Personally, I'm always kind of waiting for the day they all fizzle out, but that's me. ;)

Well, a lot of the things on Twitter are stupid, but I mainly use it to get updates from companies, etc. I'm not one of those people who posts a billion times a day and reads boring updates from talentless pop stars.

But yeah, I'm going to have to agree with you. Social networking in general is mostly insipid and moronic, which is why I refuse to get a Facebook.
