Old Loblaws in Downtown Ogdensburg (NY)

I didn't see a post for Loblaws.  It's a Canadian chain that used to have a lot of stores here in the U.S., but closed them in the mid 1970's.  Most Loblaw stores were sold to Great American.  Is there anyone that remembers having a Loblaws in their area?  We had two -- one downtown that closed in the early 70's and one in a shopping center that was sold to Great American before closing in 1993.  Here's a copy of their logo that I found on their website.

This is our local Loblaws.  Loblaw Companies is the largest food retailer in Canada. They own several banners like Maxi, Provigo, Dominion, No Frills, Zehrs and others

their used to be one in fulton ny but became price chopper because we use to have a bin for are greens with their name carved in

Loblaws operated super markets in the Western New York area until the mid 1970's.  There was one in my hometown of Tonawanda, NY, on Broad St.  It was converted to be the Salvation army.

This is a recent pic of the old Loblaws store at 420 Ford Street in Downtown Ogdensburg (NY).  Loblaws was originally located in a smaller store on the far right of this building but expanded it to this size in 1961.  Loblaws closed this store in the early 1970's and it later became a workshop, then the city's post office.  Vacant since 1999, it is rumored to be the new home for the County Public Health office and Social Security Administration offices.
