Macy's announces closing of 150 stores by the end of 2026

Macy's has announced that they are closing 150 underperforming stores.

The closures will take place over the next 2 years and will reduce Macy's store count by 30%.  Interestingly Macy's is claiming that these closing stores only account for about 10% of their total sales.

An initial list of 50 store closings slated for this year was not released with the announcement.
