Full Power Radio owns a bunch of radio stations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Among the stations are a trio of stations that run an Oldies format known as Kool Radio. Kool Radio is 96.1 FM/990 AM in Southington Connecticut, 100.1 FM/1270 AM in Springfield Massachusetts, and 104.3 FM/1180 AM in Westerly Rhode Island.

Now every year Full Power Radio puts on a Bridal Expo at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut which isn't too far from Westerly Rhode Island. On their crappy Facebook Page there is an ad for the Bridal Expo. It says Sponsored by Kool 104.3 FM/1180 AM, Springfield's Classic Hits of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Oops. It should say Westerly.

I know a guy who used to work as a DJ at a small-market station in Northwest Pennsylvania back in the early 1980's.

He said that the station's receptionist had an eighth-grade education.
And that she was also their news writer!  He said that there were times when she'd
walk into the studio and hand him a bulletin.

"I'd pot up the mic" he'd say, "start reading the bulletin on-air, get halfway through it
and suddenly realize, My God, I'm not making any sense!"
