Gap to close 100s of stores

Gap plans on closing 100s off stores in the new year. Sales are slumping at their flagship nameplate and at Banana Republic. The good news is they plan on opening more Old Navy and Athleta stores in the coming years. Those two brands are doing well.

I think the GAP concept had already passed its sell-by date when
Seinfeld started poking fun at it in the late 90's.
