Owned by the Government of Qatar, the plunge in oil prices below $30 per barrel
(combined with persistent 0.001% ratings) seems to have marked the channel's demise.

Somebody should have been smart enough to realize that this channel's name and logo
were never going to sell here.

I understand Al Gore and Joel Hyatt are still in litigation with them over unmade payments
from the sale of Current TV a few years ago.
