Tribune/Media General sign affiliation aggeement with KATZ Beoadcasting

Tribune and Media General have signed affiliation agreements with KATZ Broadcasting (Escape, Grit, Laff).

New affiliates of GRIT include WCTX 59 in New Haven, CT and WOTV in Grand Rapids, Michigan,

New affiliates of LAFF include WNAC 64 in Providence, RI and WOOD in Grand Rapids.

New affiliates of ESCAPE include WXSP in Grand Rapids.

Other new ESCAPE affiliates include KTVI in St. Louis and WGNO in New Orleans.

There are others as well.

New affiliates of LAFF include WOOD in Grand Rapids.

WOTV is actually in Battle Creek. It serves as the Grand Rapids market's secondary ABC affiliate. The WOTV call sign hasn't been used in Grand Rapids proper since the early 1990's on the present-day WOOD.

WOTV was WUHQ when I lived up there.  At the time one of their news anchors was murdered
by her husband.  A horrific crime that made national headlines (he is currently serving a life sentence).
