This quote comes from a book about the "prehistory" of television, and was said by an announcer from the BBC.

He had been on in 1939, when WWII began and the cartoon he had just introduced stopped mid show as the BBC was shut down for the war.

June 7th, 1946, the same announcer reappeared as they "restarted" the BBC (TV) and started from exactly where in the cartoon they left off some 7 years earlier.

So, it only seemed like an appropriate quote for the forum as it "restarts" after a long hiatus!

And hopefully for a long time to come.
