Had a strange experience at a BP station this past weekend.

I don't normally buy gas there but I had a coupon for 30 cents off a gallon.
Pretty good deal, so I pulled in and filled my tank.  I went inside to pay.
The station also is a 7-eleven convenience store.  7-eleven is rolling out a
fast food program (pizza, wings, etc.).  Heavily promoted as they keep mailing
flyers to my home, etc.

I waited about 20 min. to pay for my gas as there was a long line and only one cashier.
However, three other women were on the clock, running around with trays full of Dixie cups.
Each one contained one chicken wing.  They were approaching every customer and inviting them
to have a Free Sample of their new wings.

I go in there to buy gas, and the entire staff is running around pushing chicken wings?
Hmmmmm.....

I liked BP better when they had the green "kite shield" for a logo in the 1990s. The post-Amoco merger BP "Helios spark", introduced in 2002, just isn't doing it for me.
They also used a solid green/yellow/silver palette on their gas stations.

Agreed.  At least I have a model of the older station style!

Same here. It was during this era that they acquired a number of 76 stations in southeastern Michigan in 1997.

I ran around the whole place, but my camera was locked in the car. There was the new BP across the street
