Since I could'nt find anyting about Jewel Osco, here's a new thread for it

Klaff Realty is said to be kicking the tires at Jewel-Osco. They bought a dozen or so Cub stores from Supervalu to satisfy antitrust concerns during the Albertsons buyout, so they're not unfamiliar with the supermarket business in Chicagoland. How many Jewel-Osco locations would survive a Klaff buyout is very much an open question given their history as liquidators.
