I'm really into electronics from the 70's through the mid 90's, but I like ones from the 80's the most. Do you have any? sorry I'm just a huge electronics freak:roll:

Here's a a sweet Realistic AM/FM clock radio I got today. This is about 20 years old. It's been sitting buried deep in my uncles garage for like 10 years:insane:

Jag67

My Radio Shack Table radio, also about 20 years old. I got this at a thrift store for $2.00

Jag67

Here's a GE AM/FM clock radio. I picked this from the garbage. Only the AM works lol:insane:

UPDATE: The AM finally went out so I destroyed the radio:tumble:

Jag67

My audio system, composed of my Pioneer turntable (late 70's-early 80's) my 23 year old Akai reciever (manufactured in 1982) and my broken ADC CD player (1986) I also use 2 generic speakers (circa 1970's) and 2 infinitis (made between 1989 and 1991)

I've owned the reciever now for about 3 years (my dad passed it down to me). I do really like it, especially since it's 23 years old and still works. My dad's friend bought it new in 1982 and then sold it to him shortly later. The only thing is if it's on for a while it REALLY overheats. It was broken at one point but my dad had it repaired some time ago (Probably why it's lasted such a long time)

Jag67

my old JVC Hi-Fi VCR. They don't build them like this anymore!! My dad paid $230 for this new. We stopped using this regularly when we got a VCR/DVD combo about 2 or 3 years ago, but I still use it for dubbing. Not really vintage, but it is 8 years old (Purchased in 1997). The rewind and fast-foward buttons are both broken, but it still plays tapes. It was purchased from Service merchandise too!!

It seems that ever since DVDs took over, the quality of VCRs have really gone down. When I was at Sprawl-Mart with dad (I know, I'm REALLY sorry. My dad likes them!!) they had one there that had to weigh like 4 pounds (UPDATE: I have sincce found out: it weighs 3.97 pounds) It was all-plastic and was about 1/2 the size of an older one. (BTW I hate how theyre all silver now. I LIKE BLACK!!)

UPDATE: This VCR has since become my regular VCR and my other now the dubbing VCR. It's been eating tyapes recently, so I'm becoming increasingly skeptical of using it. So I guess it's this one now..

I have an original Atari...  Now if my camera had not been stolen I could take a picture!!!

Jag67

sweet..This isn't mine, this is my uncle's. It's a K-mart AM clock radio with a broken clock and a missing corner. He bought it new in 1972. Hey, the radio still works!!

(BTW I also have a REALLY old cassette recorder and my mom's AM/FM clock radio is pretty old, I'll post them when I have time)

Jag67

My ACR rewinder. Another donation from my uncle. This dates to around 1987 or so.

Jag67

my moms alarm clock. Also around '87.

Jag67

my really old realsistic cassette recorder, dating to around 1978. This thing cost $50.00 new. Unforunately, the rewind and volume are both broken, and the cassette door is missing (but I think it's buried in my closet somewhere)

Jag67

my uncle's Magnavox VCR. this is about 10-11 years old (it's  still in great shape, it's just very dusty!!)

truviking05

Wow! Pretty cool stuff. I can't currently load pics to my computer, but here's some of my vintage electronics:

1. Circa 1994 Magnavox VCR (bought at Sam's Club....notl ike I could help it, I was in preschool at the time!)

2. Magnavox TV complete with fake wood paneling on the sides (lol) My mom says we've had it for 9-10 years, but I think we've had it a little longer, maybe 11-12 years since it's the only TV I really remember us having in our den.

3. 1997 Playstation!!!

4. 1988 TV

That's all I can think of for now... :)

Jag67

niice. That's just about what my uncles VCR's from.

BTW Our TV is from 1987 lol..AND IT STILL WORKS!!!!

Jag67

One of my 4 cassette decks, my 1978 Technics cassette deck. This cost $300 in 1978. Too bad it's BROKEN...I'm goona see If I can get it fixed. Dixie Square was still open when this was made.

Zayre88

Our old Sears stereo system still works but is in the basement under piles of stuff.   It was purchased in the early/mid 80's

Jag67

I LOVE THAT STERO SYSTEM!!! I want one of those so bad!!
There was one made by realistic that somebody was selling at a garage sale for $3 without speakers but I passed it up..why I dont know.

I now own a Technics cassette deck (circa 1985) which my best friend's dad gave me, a JVC deck (purchased for $5 from the thrift store, circa early 80's) and a similar JVC deck, which I picked from the garbage.

My audio stuff (deck, turntable, reciever) does make good cassette copies, especially considering theyre all over 20 years old.

Jag67

Yah, Back when Penneys sold things for MEN too. Ahh, the days when penneys was a true department store... Oh well. Hey Amesfanman, is that the TV from 1982??
