Linens 'N Things and KB Toys, both stores closing now, were once owned by Melville Corporation. Melville was dissolved in 1996. KB Toys was then bought by Consolidated Stores, owner of Big Lots. Then Consolidated spun off KB Toys and merged it with its other division Toy Liquidators. KB Toys was then called "Kay Bee Toys" and was renamed. KB Toys launched a website, KBKids.com, in 2000. KBKids was later renamed KBToys.com, and KB acquired rival eToys. KB also acquired Toy Works stores and launched a new brand, KB Toy Works. Consolidated Stores, meanwhile, was renamed Big Lots Inc.

What changes have Linens 'N Things gone through since 1996? They got a new logo in 1999! :insane:
