Here's what became of the Ames in SOUTHAMPTON, MASS. Taken today, Jan. 12, 2008.

It is now subdivided into a Peeble's and Tractor Supply Co.

This store is quite a trip to get to from I-91. It's about 6-7 miles off the highway, near the center of Easthampton. I wanted to visit this store for a while now but never got around to it. When I did today, I was rather disappointed to see that Ames is no more.

Here's where the Ames entrance was. The facade was black when it was Ames.

Oh man, I remember when I went here this was used as a parking lot for school buses!

The peebles header looks like the AMES header...hahaha.....wow.....
