The website is owned by Fingerhut, a major catalog company/web shop. There is almost zero chance of stores opening up again.

The return of such a thing is, like everyone said, unlikely. Although we can dream, i guess. We all have that dream of a store or two returning, but in today's economy i don't see it! It's unfortunate that we have the poor selection fo stores that we do today and it will only get worse! Wal*Mart of all companies is starting to run into road-blocks! When you see small towns standing up to the corporate giant, where they can't even expand, it is pretty major.

And just think, if these stores were still around we wouldn't have the vast majority of resources we do today. AmesFanClub, and others may not be as big as they are now. So, there is an upside to the tragedy is today's retail economy, but to every upside there is always a downside.
