After being located at the Mall for 50 years the Chapel at the Bergen Town Center Mall in New Jersey is closing. Mall management wants to use the space for something else.

Hopefully they'll find a spot elsewhere.  We had one of these in the old Northway Mall in Albany, NY.  That mall was demolished years ago and the chapel moved to a strip plaza on Wolf Road, where (as far as I know) they still are.

The whole topic of churches and chapels in shopping centers would make an interesting thread.

There is a nondenominational chapel called the International House of Prayer located inside a strip
mall in Kansas City.  Their goal is to have some sort of worship or music service taking place 24/7,
365 days a year.  Their services are streamed online.

Since they are the International House of Prayer their volunteers began making t-shirts to wear
to the services which said "IHOP".

You guessed it.....they got sued by the pancake people!

There is now a disclaimer on their website saying "IHOP is a registered trademark of the International House of Pancakes" and advising other churches not to repeat their mistake.

In exchange the pancake chain has allowed them to keep "ihopkc.org" as their internet domain.
