Title: Dairy Mart
Post by: Retail_247 on February 15, 2023, 11:08:23 PM
Does anybody remember this chain? They were a chain of convenience stores that were similar to 7-Eleven or Cumberland Farms

A lot of their locations used to be Lawson's, another chain of convenience stores that went out of business in the US (though they're extremely popular with their international locations, which are still open)

I only heard of this chain once or twice in passing and I thought they were kind of a local place with only one location or so, but no, they were apparently a medium (?) sized chain

Not sure when they closed though, there are several other convenience stores using the "Dairy Mart" name, which I'm assuming are completely unrelated

Here's a photo of a Dairy Mart store in Springfield, MA
Obviously that isn't my photo, it came from here:

Apparently Dairy Mart does still exist, but they use a completely different logo and they're sort of a rarity now a days:

I remember one that used to exist in a really dodgy neighborhood near my high-school in Pittsburgh.

Yes, I fondly remember Dairy Mart! They were all over the Cleveland area, I believe they took over most/all of the Lawsons locations.
