Title: #0521 - Randallstown, MD
Post by: Ameskid on November 07, 2017, 07:34:02 PM
This store remained vacant (apart from seasonal tenants) until 2011, when it became a Big Lots.  Interior photos are from 2006.

Is anything left from Ames in the Big Lots?

Nothing that I could see. They even redid the ceiling.

Oh well. Big Lots isn't really that big of a presence in Eastern Connecticut. They have a closed one in Putnam and one in the former Norwichtown Mall.
Ocean State Job Lot does very little to renovate stores, which means the A+ can be found in some stores.

I see they had the OLD red trim from my days at Ames in the early 90's.
The 521 store number indicates that it was a former Murphy's Mart location.
I believe I met one of the managers from this store at some meetings up in Rocky Hill.
