It's located in Mason, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati located about 25 miles to the northeast along I-71. Many years ago the decor heavily featured Hanna-Barbera characters but today due to Cedar Fair ownership Peanuts characters now dominate the place.
Not long after it opened it received it's first big national exposure on two ABC sitcoms, The Partridge Family and then The Brady Bunch.
I believe it was also used in the opening sequence of The Banana Splits

In between Hanna-Barberra and Peanuts, it was Nickelodeon-themed.
Kings Island was one of the parks the were owned by Paramount Pictures and had rides named after movies like "Top Gun" and "Face/Off". The movie theming was removed when Cedar Fair bought Kings Island.
Some noteworthy rides at Kings Island include The Beast, Firehawk, Diamondback, Banshee, Vortex, and many more.
R.L. Stine wrote a book about "The Beast" roller coaster at Kings Island
