Title: Snow on buildings
Post by: ynkeesfn82 on February 10, 2015, 02:14:33 PM
With all the snow that has fallen over the past few weeks in New England have you seen them removing snow from different buildings?

Today in Plainville, Connecticut they were removing snow from the roof of the Kohl's in the Plainville Commons Shopping Center.

Yesterday in Bristol, Connecticut they had to close the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Oakland Street (old Shaw's) because there was too much snow on the roof. It was supposed to reopen today after they removed the snow.

Not uncommon at all for roofs to collapse under the weight of all that snow.
Particularly flat commercial roofs.  Happened to a hockey rink here a couple of
winters ago.

Not an uncommon site in Michigan at all.

This happened to a Kmart in Saginaw, Michigan about a year ago.
