I have lived in New England for my entire life. When I was growing up, we had "Zayre's" and then it went to "Ames". But the day that I was told that all of our Ames stores where closing. But then just last week, I was in Mass. on the highway when an "Ames" truck passed me. I thought about following it to find an "Ames Store" that was still open. So if anyone can help me find on, please email me a location, please?
There are none open that were connected to the chain. I have heard of local country stores and such in the country having the names Ames. Old trailers are always being reused so that is probably why you saw it. Acutally, we have a topic on here about trailer sightings!
