I just noticed that, on the picture of the Ames in Washington, D.C., there is a Subway sign on the front of the building. In addition, this 1994 article says that the Ames in Mt. Pocono, PA had a Subway inside:

Did anyone here ever visit an Ames with a Subway inside? Are there any pictures out there of one?
Just went to the Mt. Pocono location today. It is now a Kmart, and looks to be a former Zayre. Right across the street from a Walmart Superstore. I could still kind of see where the green stripe was around the wall. No shopping carts, though.
