How about Ollie's Bargain Outlet? The two stores I have been to were former Hills/Ames stores. All they did with these stores was move the shelves around, and build a some makeshift tables for the "Buyout Blowouts" where they just put the boxes of stuff that they got from local buyout sales. These boxes are not organized at all. I don't even think they look in these boxes before they put them out on the tables. There are boxes of tampons in the same box as children's toys and Playboy magazines with kitchen knives!

How can we forget Building 19 with their recycled buildings. Only chain I know that is glad their stores are messy, disorganized and in such a shabby state.

There's a local clothing store called Campus Den which operates in small mall spaces. One of them near me used to be about 2/3 of a former Lerner New York, one was a very obvious former Lane Bryant, etc. etc.
Several Burlington Coat Factorys that I've seen are fairly cheap looking as well.
Calendar Club used to operate out of a space inside of the mall in downtown Green Bay, Wisconsin during the mall's last few years of operation during the holiday season.
Has anyone here ever heard of, or been to, a Calendar Club store?

if Ames was still around idd put them on there i mean they were a great store but just look at the locations that were once Bradlees Jamesway and Caldor or Zayer it was kinda easy to tell what it was before

Yes.
In defense of places like Spirit Halloween Stores and Halloween Adventure for a place that's only going to be open for about a month or two I really can't blame them for not being too elaborate with their buildings.
