Made a few improvements, now can be sorted by column, search works
I'm very keen to help with the Store Locator by uploading photos and store information.
Would you be willing to let me help with this? I'm rather tech savvy and know basic HTML coding.
Recently I found a copy of the 1989 Store Directory which contains lots of info that may not be in the Locator and I'm very happy to use some of my spare time adding new info & photos to the Locator so the Ames Fan Club can get closer to achieving its goal of having a fully working Store Locator with photos and info of every store that ever operated within the Ames chain.

I was working for Ames in 1989. I don't think I ever saw it at store level.
We had store listings that were printed lists with no photos.

I found it on Facebook. A member of the Ames Stores Alumni group on Facebook digitised and uploaded a 13 page excerpt of a document published in 1989 which included a directory of all the stores that were open at the time.
It lists a total of 670 stores with 355 of them being from the 1988 Zayre acquisition.
My favourite part is that each listing includes the Store Manager's name and phone number alongside the phone number for the store itself.
Ahh, so that would have been for internal use only. None of us in management at the time would have wanted our home phone numbers to be published anywhere that upset customers, disgruntled employees or their families would find them. If this was distributed to individual stores some employee could have gotten hold of it and circulated the information. This was likely for the use of DMs, regional executives, buyers and other Home Office staff.
