Pathmark's new slogan is "It's about time" but it really makes no sense. I think it's about time they should go out of business.

Sears' "Good life, Great Price" doesnt really make sense because, let's face it- Sears isnt the cheapest Store on earth!!

Penneys- "All inside"?? Wha?? THEY DONT EVEN SELL ELECTRONICS!!!  Then again, Penneys is no department store. They are a mainly-womens clothes store marketed as a dept. store.

Wal-Mart- "Always low Prices, Always." Borrring. come on, it sounds like a 10 year old came up with that.

Hey, Filnes jingle is the same as Kaufmanns!! Must be because theyre both owned by Mays.

Arbys- I'm NOT thinking arby's, since the only good thing they got is milkshakes!
Nationwide- On your side, I just don't think so.
Big Boy- My favorite thing is not going to Big Boy.
Dairy Queen- Meet me at the Dairy Queen and I'll stuff you in the freezer.
Sudafed- Sudafed, aisle 5. Not funny. Not serious. Just retarded.
Sears- Everywhere else.
Target- Expect less. Pay more.
Claritin- Claritin clear? I know firsthand that it takes about 1/2 day to activate.
Kit Kat- What's this? I don't want a piece of that Kit Kat bar.

Hechts is one of the many stores that has or will all come under the Macy umbrella.  (We lost our beloved Goldsmith stores to them last year and it's just not the same....)  If you really need to know, you pronounce it like "heck" with an s on the end.

BTW- I think that the worst slogan right now is Toyota's "Move Forward" since it's pretty obvious that most people in cars would want to move forward.  (lol)

;)

A new one to add to the list:

Rite Aid "With us, it's personal"
What is personal? If I go in there am I gonna be surronded my mobsters because I used a coupon last time or what?

I guess it is slightly better than their previous one "It's not just a store, it's a solution" which still shows up on their website on out of date pages

I think Rite-Aid's slogan is trying to say that the pharmacists will treat your problems as if they were their own, or something like that. Although, at my Rite-Aid, the lines are always real long, and I kid you not - every single order, yes, EVERY SINGLE one, is screwed up and the pharmacists go crazy trying to find the right one. The whole experience can seriously take up to 50 minutes.

An odd slogan I know of is the 1980's A&P/Super Fresh one: ''We Built A Proud New Feeling''. What do you mean? The feeling of saving money? I don't get that one.

I think the A&P slogan is referring to their corporate turnaround in the 80's.

Probably Wendy's "You know when it's real" slogan, and the annoying little jingle they tried to make it into. That'll sure last a whole 6 months before they figure out it is actually driving costumers away.

If I'm not mistaken, Wendy's has made it a habit to have a all new and all the more terrible slogan each year.

I agree with you.

Like McDonald's, with a new annoying slogan, that makes you want to scream every year.  "Did somebody say McDonald's?"  and "I'm Lovin It" campaigns bother me to no end.
