More info on Ascena's plans for the chain. About half will close this year when the leases expire, while other locations may assume other Ascena banners. The bottom line is that the Fashion Bug banner will definitely disappear, just not right away.

My wife had worked at Fashion Bug when she was younger, until being on her feet all day started getting the best of her. She still shopped there a lot until maybe 5 years ago when she said the quality of the merchandise was really suffering. Too many of the clothes she bought there were worn out after just a few wearings. They've already left a couple local towns in the last couple years (Easton, MD & Seaford, DE) and it will be interesting to see if they change the other local locations to something else or just shutter them.

RK Centers the landlord where Fashion Bug used to be in Southington has knocked down the wall in between the former Fashion Bug and the empty store next to it creating one big 11,000 Square Foot Store Front.

Meanwhile the Going out of Business sale continues at the Bristol, Connecticut location. How many are still open and when will the rest close down?

Cromwell, CT is now closed. I think it was sometime last week. The store is completely empty. It was located in the Kmart plaza.

Is every one of them gob? Their used to be one in the westminster md mall and that one left a few years ago. My mother used to buy all of her clothes from their for many years. Its a store that sells only woman's clothing so personally it doesn't bother me to see them go.

Yes. They were struggling and some company bought them but only wanted to buy them for another chain they own. Forgot which one and too lazy to look for the article right now.

The Cromwell location is becoming a Pet$ense. A smaller version of PetSmart which appear to be popping up in smaller strip malls.
