I heard Bob's stores got mad at them for stealing their name, but that is a different type of Bob's. They replaced a lot of Sears Homelife stores.

The Bob's distribution center is located in Taftville, Ct.
There is a guy that owns Amazing Furniture, about a mile down the road from the center. He's hilarious, talking smack on Bob every chance he can get, he even puts direct jabs at Bob's in his ads.
Bain Capital has bought part of Bob's Discount Furniture. Bob's now has 47 locations and will be opening in Philly in February 2014.

Bob owns a development company out of Salem, ct as well. He just recently bought a whole strip mall in the sticks. Who the heck knows what he is planning to do with it, but he bought out all the tenants leases to get them outta there.

I'm so surprised to learn that Bob's Discount Furniture just opened in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. King of Prussia is an upper-class town. (I know KOP isn't really a town. It's part of Upper Marion Township).
The 3 new ones to open in the Philadelphia area are:
- 5200 Brandywine Parkway (Brandywine Town Center), Wilmington, DE 19803
- 2234 Marlton Pike West (Garden State Pavilions Center), Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 [Gonna assume it is in the "Old Navy" location]
- 330 West Dekalb Pike, King of Prussia, PA 19406 [former Lane Furniture location]
Bob's Discount Furniture is now up to 57 stores. 3 new stores opening this weekend. - Northeast Philly, Langhorn PA, and Deptford New Jersey.
A Bob's Discount Furniture is proposed to open in Latham, NY at the future shopping center "Shoppes at Latham Circle", on the site of the mostly demolished Latham Circle Mall.
Bob's is also laying the groundwork for an invasion of the Chicago market.

They've now opened. I heard some radio ads a couple of weeks ago about the store openings.
According to commercials Bob's Discount Furniture is moving their Stamford, CT store to Norwalk, CT effective February 13, 2020.
