Lived near 6 flags/went to a lot. Most were "tuned down" at that park a year later. Complaints of necks hurting. Great thrill!
I love roller coasters, they're my most favorite amusement park ride.
I have never ridden a roller coaster, and don't really care to.
Not my cup of tea.
The most famous one in this area is the Thunderbolt at Kennywood Park,
across the road from the old Hills store that was my last stop in retail.
I went to ride one of the roller coasters at Lake Compounce Amusement Park (Wildcat, I think) and my ass was too big to fit in the ride. This was like 6 years. I have lost more weight since then, but I don't know whether or not I can fit. When I was working I didn't have a car to go to the amusement park. Plus it's expensive to get in there. (The last time I went I got in for free when my then friend who had a season pass invited me to go on Bring a Buddy Free Day.
The Stratosphere tower in Las Vegas use to have a small roller coaster up top a 909 foot tall building.

Batman the Ride at Six Flags Great America is my favorite roller coaster.
Viper at Darien Lake was the first roller coaster that I've rode, alone!
