The K-LOVE religious network has entered the Boston Market in a way that is unusual for them. As on July 1st they've taken over operations of WUBG 1570-AM (licensed to Methuen) and their FM translator on 105.3 from Costa-Eagle Broadcasting. K-LOVE normally doesn't broadcast on AM unless it was part of an FM station they were buying - like in Hartford. The Oldies format previously heard on 1570/105.3 moves to online only.

Here in the Chicagoland area they took over a good rock station to enter the market

There is a southern gospel "network" out of NC that bills itself as "Joy FM". They just took over a local AM station, still with the same billing. (they do have an FM translator but it covers only a tiny fraction of what the AM signal does)
