Donna Douglas best known as Elly May Clampett on the Beverly Hillbillies has died at age 81. She had pancreatic cancer.

Sad news.  By all accounts she was a very nice lady who was always kind to fans at conventions and autograph shows.

I watched hours and hours and hours of her work as a kid.  The Hillbillies ran every day on CBS in the late morning when I was a pre-schooler.  In a 3 channel universe they were on all the time.
