That's disappointing. Will they be stuck watching Me TV Connecticut again?

That is wedged in awfully tight between Hartford and Philly.

The problem is that WJLP was mapping their PSIP as Channel 3, although there are nearby Channel 3 stations in Hartford and Philadelphia. It's not a RF or interference conflict. WJLP wants the low virtual channel number to stand out on cable systems in the New York DMA. WJLP is claiming that they have contractual relationships that are contingent on the Channel 3 branding and position, but it was foolish of them to expect this to fly with the FCC. They could be back on the air today if they only remapped their virtual channel number to 33. I can't see their appeal prevailing.

The FCC has temporarily allowed WJLP to return to the airwaves until December 1st. They returned to the air around 5PM last night, but not on VERIZON FIOS.
