Here's an abandoned mall just like Dixie. River Roads mall of Missuouri. Opened in 1967 and closed in June of 1995 due to high crime. Another mall in a poor area. And yes, the mall is truly abandoned.
EWWWWWWW. I think this was Dilliards.
This was Penneys huge store. This was built with the mall in 1967 and became an outlet store (!!) in 1984 due to lack of business. It closed with the mall in 1995
The mall has been broken into and vandalized numerous times.
yecchhh
usual overgrowth
This was probably one of the first regals. VERY old:roll:
river roads bowling
Funway Freeway..cool
I'm thinking that maybe Funway Freeway was an arcade...I have found some online articles talking about tokens from Funway Freeway, plus the name sounds like an arcade to me.
Cool! The story of this place sounds a LOT like the story behind Dixie Square... Mall closed due to high crime in the area, last operating tenant was a grocery store, plan to build housing on the site... Hmmmm....
that mall had a Woolworths and a JC Penny and it closed in June of 1995 the only thing thats open there is a super market that mall is in pritty good shape after beening closed for 10 years lol look at the dixie squre mall after it closed and sat vacant for 10 years lol
