this mall is the silver city galleria in taunton mass off rt. 24 and rt. 140. it opened april 1992 and is 1.2 million square feet with 2 levels and has 140 stores. the mall started with a 90,000 sf lechmere, a 90,000 sf bradlees, a 168,000 sf Filene's, a 140,000 sf jc penny and a sf sears. the mall as tjh maxx which will move down the road. The mall has hoyts cinema. The mall has a food court. lechmere closed late 1997 and bradlees closed early 2001. lechmere was one one floor above Bradlees and they stayed vacant until 2005. lechmere became STeve and BArry's sportswear and Bradlees became Dick's sporting goods. Filene's becames Macy's in 2006.
