Roosevelt Field Mall is the largest shopping mall in the state of New York. Located in Long Island, the anchors of the 270 store mall are: Bloomingdale's, JCPenney, Macy's, Nordstrom, and Dicks.

The org. 2 anchors at Roosevelt Field Mall were Gimbel Brothers and Macy's.  Macy's was the first to open, on 8/22/1956.  Gimbels came next.  1972 was when J.C. Penney and Alexander's was added.  A&S demolished the Alexander's store and built their store, which 3 years later became Bloomingdale's.  The Gimbels became a Stern's in 1987, and closed in 2001.  This store was split into two stores, one being Bloomingdale's Furniture Outlet, the other being Galyan's/Dick's Sportings Goods.  Nordstrom was added in 1997

i love this small even though it rather old and outdated.
