I only have Connecticut news stations on Facebook, so I only have the six in Connecticut that are closing including Bristol and a location on The Berlin Turnpike.

I'm surprised that the two Mattress Firm locations on the Berlin Turnpike literally a few buildings away from each other can co-exist, but the one much farther South next to Stew Leonard's is closing. They should close the one next to Pier 1 and keep the one by Ruth Chris. That was the original Sleepys.

There's a lot of head-scratching omissions from the closure list, but then again they did say that another 500 could close. South Portland, Maine (population: 25,577) has three locations, and there's another one in Scarborough (population 18.919) which is just south of that. I imagine they're aggressively negotiating with landlords playing one off against the other to see which location will be the survivor.

99 more stores will close in addition to those initially announced (see pages 7-14 of Doc 276-2)

The initial list of 209 stores. Note some of those addresses being right next door to each other...

Ironically, Ohio is only losing one location. Out of curiosity, for those of you who live near newly-built "its own little strip center" stores, how many are housed with either a Panera Bread or Kay Jewelers? I've seen more than one with a Panera sharing a building, but only one with a Kay Jewelers.

yes here in Indianapolis  there are several stores near each other  i figured for sure that one in Greenwood In  would close after the Qdoba next door to it burned and they had smoke damage. but it recently reopened after they threw out the bedding  and repaired the broken out door.
